Some things you say out loud. Some you just wear.
This is not a billboard cap. There is no slogan across the front, no logo the size of your hand. Just a small embroidered sunset circle — forest green, amber and ivory — that means nothing at all to most people and everything to the ones who recognize it.
That is the point. The Caravan has never been a crowd that needs to announce itself. But every so often, across a parking lot or a hardware store aisle, somebody clocks the patch and gives you the nod. That is worth more than a slogan.
A favorite from day one.
Soft, distressed cotton twill in a low-profile, unstructured shape — no stiff crown, no board-flat brim, no six-month breaking-in period. It arrives already looking like a cap you have owned for years.
For long walks
Unstructured means it packs flat, folds into a coat pocket, and does not fight the shape of your head.
For weekend drives
The washed black goes with everything and shows nothing. It is the cap that lives on the passenger seat.
For slow mornings
Thrown on before coffee, worn to the cafe, forgotten about entirely. The highest compliment a hat can earn.
No two are quite alike. The washing process leaves subtle distressing and slight colour variation on every cap, so yours arrives having already collected a few memories — just not yours yet.
The details that decide whether you keep wearing it.

- Black sweatband that hides what a light one would not

Care: use warm water and dish soap to clean spots off the cap — no need to soak the whole thing. Work at stubborn marks with a soft-bristled brush. Never put a washed-cotton cap through a machine unless you want a different cap back.
Twelve years of late nights.
Since 2014, John B. Wells has put out more than 2,800 episodes of Caravan to Midnight and over 500 Saturday nights of Ark Midnight — reaching millions of listeners across terrestrial radio, digital satellite, live stream and podcast.
Everything in this store exists for the people who made that possible. Buying it puts something in your hand; it also keeps the microphone on.
“Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.”
Ephesians 5:11 — the Caravan's creed
