Ancient Ayurvedic texts recommend oil pulling as part of a daily routine — to strengthen teeth and gums, and to help with mouth dryness and other oral conditions. Sesame oil is singled out by name for its subtle, penetrating, preventive and balancing effects.
DrTung's Oil Pulling Concentrate is a time-tested remedy of 24 plants and herbs, prepared in organic sesame oil. Add it to coconut, sesame or sunflower oil to increase efficacy and cut your pulling time.
Not a few essential oils for flavour.
A carrier oil and some mint
A handful of essential oils added to provide flavour, and little else.
An ancient recipe, prepared properly
Selected plants and botanicals chosen for their treatment qualities and carefully prepared in organic sesame oil. Contains no mint.
Five to fifteen minutes, once a day.
Dilute, or don't
Use undiluted, or mix the contents with 5 oz of organic sunflower, sesame (not toasted) or coconut oil — roughly a 1:3 ratio.
Swish and chew
Place 1 tbsp in your mouth after tongue cleaning and brushing. Slowly swish it around and “chew” on it for 5–15 minutes.
Spit, then rinse
Do not swallow. Spit into the toilet rather than the sink, then rinse your mouth with lukewarm saline water.
